Actually if you're into shrines and temples and so on (and not everyone is in Japan) it is good manners to bow when passing in front of a shrine. If you're in a Buddhist temple it is good manners if passing in front of the central figure of worship (usually a statue of something or other).

I know I've seen that "stop dead in the middle of a high speed chase to do something unrelated" bit multiple times before, but I'm having trouble thinking of them. That was impressive. The jump onto the van, even though I have an idea of how it was done, I still don't entriely get the specifics. Did they just throw a camera down for the greenscreen footage? And I literally said: "aww!" at the bow to the shrine. For some reason it makes me happy that that was an actual emotional choice instead of a before-hand scripted move. But I do feel ever so slightly cheated that the stunts were done by the not-entirely photogenic girl with the fantastic moves instead of the kickass kickboxing chick.
