A <a href="https://bsky.app/profile/iss-piss-tracker.bsky.social/">Bluesky account</a> provides frequent updates on how full the tank is; this is one of <a href="https://iss-mimic.github.io/Mimic/">several online ISS metrics</a>. The tank holds liquid waste produced by crew members; in an AskMe, MeFite Klipspringer provides <a href="https://ask.metafilter.com/387280/Why-is-the-urine-tank-on-the-ISS-filling-so-quickly#5487964">further information</a>, while MeFite Telegraph has calculated <a href="https://ask.metafilter.com/387280/Why-is-the-urine-tank-on-the-ISS-filling-so-quickly#5487982">how many astronauts</a> might reasonably fill the tank (it is unclear how many <a href="/210374/Who-wants-to-tell-him-its-his-round">drunken chimpanzees</a> it would take). Alternately, <a href="https://github.com/Jaennaet/pISSStream">pISSStream</a> is a menu bar app that shows the International Space Station's urine tank's capacity in real-time.post:www.metafilter.com,2025:site.210375Thu, 18 Sep 2025 07:54:14 -0800WordshoreurineISSmonitorfeedliquidtechnicalonlineastronautchimpanzeeBy: mrgoat

I wish we got statistics on the water recovery system's per-batch efficiency. I also want to know when the membrane is fouled and requires cleaning.
Whenever I get a chance to see an ISS astronaut speak, I ask them about the recovery system. They universally report that they run the recovery system at a lower efficiency than specified to avoid membrane fouling.comment:www.metafilter.com,2025:site.210375-8767374Thu, 18 Sep 2025 12:35:51 -0800HeadfullofairBy: lock robster

What an absolutely frivolous use of critical life-saving ISS monitoring systems. It and all the other links where people have toyed with this are fucking awesome!comment:www.metafilter.com,2025:site.210375-8767501Thu, 18 Sep 2025 18:30:16 -0800dgBy: Didymus

It never occurred to me before that people who have spent time together on the ISS are not blood brothers, but urine brothers. (Adjust for gender as needed.)comment:www.metafilter.com,2025:site.210375-8768054Sun, 21 Sep 2025 00:21:31 -0800demi-octopus
¡°Why?¡± asked Larry, in his practical way. "Sergeant," admonished the Lieutenant, "you mustn't use such language to your men." "Yes," accorded Shorty; "we'll git some rations from camp by this evenin'. Cap will look out for that. Meanwhile, I'll take out two or three o' the boys on a scout into the country, to see if we can't pick up something to eat." Marvor, however, didn't seem satisfied. "The masters always speak truth," he said. "Is this what you tell me?" MRS. B.: Why are they let, then? My song is short. I am near the dead. So Albert's letter remained unanswered¡ªCaro felt that Reuben was unjust. She had grown very critical of him lately, and a smarting dislike coloured her [Pg 337]judgments. After all, it was he who had driven everybody to whatever it was that had disgraced him. He was to blame for Robert's theft, for Albert's treachery, for Richard's base dependence on the Bardons, for George's death, for Benjamin's disappearance, for Tilly's marriage, for Rose's elopement¡ªit was a heavy load, but Caro put the whole of it on Reuben's shoulders, and added, moreover, the tragedy of her own warped life. He was a tyrant, who sucked his children's blood, and cursed them when they succeeded in breaking free. "Tell my lord," said Calverley, "I will attend him instantly." HoME²Ô¾®¿Õ·¬ºÅѸÀ×Á´½Ó
