The Art of Matt Jeffries article shows some concept art for "Mirror, Mirror" including the mirror Federation logo. In it, the Earth has a ring instead of a moon. I think that's awesome.

It's an interesting site. It reminds me of reading The Making of Star Trek as a kid, and how fascinating it was to see the props in snapshots, and how relatively un-sleek and glamorous they looked as opposed to how they seemed on screen. There were also a couple of shots of the props partially disassembled.

Personally, I'd prefer to see this degree of historical precision and detail focused on the transgressions of the Reagan Administration, but I guess I don't get a vote. guy who didn't like the original series even in first-run when he was an 8-year-old kid; it was too goofy

Heh, I finally watched the ST rebooted movie last night. I had been resisting doing so for some time. I kinda liked the movie although there was a lot of annoying and/or dumb science/plot things about it. Despite it being full of masturbatory catch phrases and such like I actually enjoyed the young character interaction, McCoy in particular.
