<a href="http://vimeo.com/15520314">Short vids</a> by photographer Noah Kalina: <a href="http://vimeo.com/17993398">Chinese Herb store</a>, (A guy standing still in the midst of movement), <a href="http://vimeo.com/13051106">Seltzer</a> (wonderfully NSFW!), <a href="http://vimeo.com/8656675">Space Rail</a>, <a href="http://vimeo.com/14688318">Earl</a>, The <a href="http://vimeo.com/14489478">Floss Boss</a> (also NSFW, due to some pubic hair & candy floss combination), a <a href="http://vimeo.com/15880852">cat</a>. 30 more, there... From his blog: A fitting portrait of <a href="http://blog.noahkalina.com/post/2134777823/julian-assange-by-philip-toledano">Julian Assange by Phillip Toledano</a>, a <a href="http://blog.noahkalina.com/post/206943717/giant-sesame-bagel-admiring-its-own-beauty-2009">Giant Sesame Bagel Admiring Its Own Beauty</a>... <br /><br />It's hard to believe that Noah Kalina had <a href="http://www.metafilter.com/54479/A-selfportrait-every-day">only 1 mention on MeFi earlier</a> (?). 11 years ago, on January 11, 2000, he started <a href="http://www.everyday.noahkalina.com/index.php">taking a snapshot of himself every day</a>, and with the exception of 25 days, mostly during the first year, had continued doing it every day since. Some other <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/NK5000#g/f">people that had done similar projects</a> are on his YouTube channel. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/noahkalina/sets/72157594432356323/show">Celebrities</a>. <a href="http://picturesthatlooklikethis.com/">Photography blog</a>. some of his pieces reminds me of <a href="http://www.popandroll.com/coke-art/Coca-Cola-Art_Andy-Warhol_Green_Coca-Cola_Bottles.jpg">Andrew Warhola</a>'s.
(Btw, From the time I started composing this post, 25% of his videos on Vimeo went "private" - I hope the rest will stay public, even as visitors hits the site)post:www.metafilter.com,2010:site.98769Mon, 20 Dec 2010 17:30:51 -0800growabrainNoahKalinaAssangephotographyartgiantbagelcottoncandyBy: IAmBroom

IAmBroom, his last name was actually Warhola although he always used the shortened version professionally.comment:www.metafilter.com,2010:site.98769-3431863Tue, 21 Dec 2010 04:59:57 -0800octothorpeBy: regicide is good for you

He's a good photographer, but... are we sure these aren't <em>parodies</em> of artsy short films? Because "Floss Boss" in particular is just the sort of thing I would film if I wanted to make fun of this sort of thing.
But, well, at least I got to see <a href="http://vimeo.com/15520314">Reggie Watts pretending to be a still photograph</a>, or something.comment:www.metafilter.com,2010:site.98769-3432220Tue, 21 Dec 2010 08:58:47 -0800regicide is good for youBy: IAmBroom

¡°Why?¡± asked Larry, in his practical way. "Sergeant," admonished the Lieutenant, "you mustn't use such language to your men." "Yes," accorded Shorty; "we'll git some rations from camp by this evenin'. Cap will look out for that. Meanwhile, I'll take out two or three o' the boys on a scout into the country, to see if we can't pick up something to eat." Marvor, however, didn't seem satisfied. "The masters always speak truth," he said. "Is this what you tell me?" MRS. B.: Why are they let, then? My song is short. I am near the dead. So Albert's letter remained unanswered¡ªCaro felt that Reuben was unjust. She had grown very critical of him lately, and a smarting dislike coloured her [Pg 337]judgments. After all, it was he who had driven everybody to whatever it was that had disgraced him. He was to blame for Robert's theft, for Albert's treachery, for Richard's base dependence on the Bardons, for George's death, for Benjamin's disappearance, for Tilly's marriage, for Rose's elopement¡ªit was a heavy load, but Caro put the whole of it on Reuben's shoulders, and added, moreover, the tragedy of her own warped life. He was a tyrant, who sucked his children's blood, and cursed them when they succeeded in breaking free. "Tell my lord," said Calverley, "I will attend him instantly." HoME²Ô¾®¿Õ·¬ºÅѸÀ×Á´½Ó
