I do remember a much more bleak 2010s than the author, but this is a well-written essay.

It s a good comment on the limits of centering communications strategy over other aspects of social movement, like building power and capacity

I started this but didn't really have enough free time in my work day to wrap it up. Will try to do so at some point. Thanks for posting.

fantastic essay, thank you for posting it.

It spoke to a lot of what I have been thinking about lately. At what level or sphere I want to apply my efforts. More towards direct care and aid within my family and friend network, less towards over-arching social justice issues. I'm grateful for what I learned during that era, and my hunger for action has directed me to where I am today.
