Holy crap! That's the most amazing gem sweater I've ever seen. I love Leslie Hall. posted by lexicakes at 8:41 PM on May 29, 2010

hmm.. "tight pants / body rolls" is the first thing of hers that I don't like. posted by oddman at 9:52 PM on May 29, 2010
Please stop rapping cross between m.i.a. and molly shannon woman. Or at least learn how to rap. Don't make me call in Goddess Kring. I will do it, I swear. posted by cashman at 9:57 PM on May 29, 2010
I had the pleasure of seeing her open live last year, thanks for the reminder! posted by glip at 10:03 PM on May 29, 2010
I know what I hate, and I really hate this.
She's got just an average voice, was introduced (in one these clips) by the novelty-act connoisseur Dr. Demento (which is saying something), and she's definitely not easy on the eyes. posted by Seekerofsplendor at 10:51 PM on May 29, 2010
My friends, our savior descendeth from heaven, wearing a golden tunic which cleaves closely to her alabaster skin and spectacles like large windows, through which her thickly blue-daubed eyes survey the desolation and decay which has now beset our land. I have no doubt that this dear woman, with a voice like some miraculous love child of Stephen Malkmus and Kim Deal, and with the deep and subtle aesthetic sensibility of St Yankovic himself, is the true cosmic warrior that the prophets have long foretold: the golden, gleaming hero whose fabled coming shall save us from the hoary beast Gah-Gah. posted by koeselitz at 11:32 PM on May 29, 2010
"Funny"? No. This performance of "Islands in the Stream" at that greatest of American venues, the Grand Ole Opry Mills Shopping Mall Karaoke Booth in Nashville, Tennessee, is not funny. It is genius. posted by koeselitz at 12:13 AM on May 30, 2010 [3 favorites]
Looks like she has a lot of fun! posted by Brocktoon at 12:44 AM on May 30, 2010

The fact that 60% of the comments on youtube pertain to her "doability" only makes me love her more. Fashion magazines tell me that boys don't notice when a gal wears mascara or blush, but that he responds positively to her improved complexion. Guess these dudes don't notice that she's wearing gold spandex, blue eyeshadow, the mother of all doofy hairstyles and granny glasses but are puzzled by the existence of a singing dancing woman who just doesn't turn em on. But cantcha at least see that she's hilarious? Thanks, finite! Love this. posted by Lisitasan at 4:16 AM on May 30, 2010
The Dance/Rap styling reminds me of The Bloodhound Gang a bit, which is why I especially enjoyed the non-TBG "Gravel in my shoe." Though I liked them all, so thanks to the OP! posted by Debaser626 at 6:59 AM on May 30, 2010
If Leslie Hall and Lady Gaga ever collaborated, the resulting genius would be devastating. We are not ready. posted by Help, I can't stop talking! at 10:25 AM on May 30, 2010 [2 favorites]

Also, I guarantee you that Gaga is fully aware of Hall, adores her, and would collaborate with her at the drop of a "hat". posted by hermitosis at 1:16 PM on May 30, 2010
In fact, we should start one of those FB pages to make this happen, just like the Betty White SNL thing. posted by hermitosis at 1:16 PM on May 30, 2010
I would totally friend/like that. posted by oddman at 5:37 PM on May 30, 2010

¡°Why?¡± asked Larry, in his practical way. "Sergeant," admonished the Lieutenant, "you mustn't use such language to your men." "Yes," accorded Shorty; "we'll git some rations from camp by this evenin'. Cap will look out for that. Meanwhile, I'll take out two or three o' the boys on a scout into the country, to see if we can't pick up something to eat." Marvor, however, didn't seem satisfied. "The masters always speak truth," he said. "Is this what you tell me?" MRS. B.: Why are they let, then? My song is short. I am near the dead. So Albert's letter remained unanswered¡ªCaro felt that Reuben was unjust. She had grown very critical of him lately, and a smarting dislike coloured her [Pg 337]judgments. After all, it was he who had driven everybody to whatever it was that had disgraced him. He was to blame for Robert's theft, for Albert's treachery, for Richard's base dependence on the Bardons, for George's death, for Benjamin's disappearance, for Tilly's marriage, for Rose's elopement¡ªit was a heavy load, but Caro put the whole of it on Reuben's shoulders, and added, moreover, the tragedy of her own warped life. He was a tyrant, who sucked his children's blood, and cursed them when they succeeded in breaking free. "Tell my lord," said Calverley, "I will attend him instantly." HoME²Ô¾®¿Õ·¬ºÅѸÀ×Á´½Ó
